Miracle Worker! I have been aware of my vertigo for 20 years now, but until recently my 'episodes' were not long lasting and, apart from one useless visit to my GP, I suffered in silence. For some weeks now, however, the nausea and dizziness have been making life very, very difficult and I called Alison in desperation. She agreed to a home visit, which I felt was a necessity, as it wasn't safe for me to drive. After an in depth chat, she agreed that I have BPPV and she introduced me to the Epley Manoeuvere. I have to be honest in saying that my system did not like it at all 😱 and I had to run to be sick halfway through. I felt under the weather for a few days, but I've persevered with the manoeuvere, on my own, and now, two weeks later, I feel like a human being again. Alison did tell me that my reaction was severe (but I'd had the problem for two decades, so it was never going to be easy!), so don't let that put you off. I am indebted to her for giving me my life back! I look forward to going to the hairdresser, the dentist and the chiropractor now, safe in the knowledge that I won't have an embarrassing episode that makes it look as if I'm having some sort of seizure when I'm lying back! Thank you so much, Alison. Through your advice I feel so much more in control of my condition and I will use what you've taught me for the rest of my life!
I had been treated by my Dr. & local hospital for vertigo for about 8 years. This January the symptoms got so bad I could hardly walk & felt nauseous most days. My new doctor suggested I try physiotherapy, something that had never been suggested before. After looking on-line I was lucky enough to find Alison. At my first appointment Alison suggested exercises to treat an under active inner ear. I did them for two weeks & felt like a new woman. At our second appointment Alison suggested ways I could incorporate my exercises into everyday life. I would recommend a visit to Alison to anyone & everyone, she is simply magic & I can't thank her enough.
Alison came to see me for a house appointment two days after I first spoke to her which was amazing. Her knowledge and information she was able to share showed her experience of the job and the way she is able to help. Before I spoke to Alison, I was almost housebound for 8 weeks which was unbearable. Alison gave me exercises, spoke to me in a way that made me feel confident in what she said and believe in myself to get better. When I say Alison gave me my life back it's not an exaggeration as I was a low point and wanting to give up. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Alison to anyone and when people see me out and about again with my life back, she's the one that's getting all the credit. I also am awaiting to see if my original diagnosis was correct from the hospital as after speaking to Alison I believe I have been misdiagnosed. Make that phone call, book her. You won't for a second regret it. Michelle McKee
"Can't believe how much I have progressed in six weeks, very quickly I saw a difference in my symptoms thanks to Alison's expert guidance and exercises. I have regained confidence in living my life without severe vertigo attacks but have a toolbox now if symptoms do reoccur."
I had been suffering for decades with dizziness and balance problems. It seemed I would just have to live with it...until Alison was recommended to me. She listened closely to my story and did what no- one else had done- offered a pathway to improving my condition. Alison explained my problems, gave me a diagnosis and a programme to work through. It was a relief to have someone understand my experience but also come up with a solution to help my symptoms. Alison gave me leaflets with exercises to work on. I had two sessions with her and a follow up phone call to check on my progress. I feel I have been armed for any future problems but also know Alison is on hand should I need any advice. Don't hesitate to speak to Alison if you are having similar problems. She may be just what you need
